Duzela is often prescribed for generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, nerve pain related to diabetes, fibromyalgia, and persistent muscle or joint pain. The primary component of Duzela is Duloxetine Hydrochloride. It is also utilized for managing fibromyalgia, pain stemming from nerve damage in diabetes (diabetic neuropathy), and chronic musculoskeletal discomfort, including pain associated with osteoarthritis and long-lasting lower back pain.
Take Duzela strictly as your doctor instructs. Do not adjust the dosage to larger or smaller amounts or take it for a longer duration than advised. Your physician may periodically modify your dosage to ensure optimal results. Aim to take Duzela at the same time each day. Do not crush, chew, break, or open a delayed-release capsule; swallow it whole. Altering or opening the capsule may lead to excessive release of the medication at once.
It may take four weeks or more for your symptoms to improve, so continue using Duzela as prescribed. Avoid discontinuing Duzela without consulting your doctor first, as abrupt cessation may lead to unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.
Seek emergency medical assistance if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction to Duzela, such as skin rash, hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. Notify your doctor about any new or worsening symptoms, including changes in mood or behavior, anxiety, panic attacks, sleep disturbances, impulsiveness, irritability, agitation, hostility, aggression, restlessness, hyperactivity (mental or physical), increased depression, or any thoughts of self-harm or suicide.
Immediately call your doctor if you experience serious side effects while taking Duzela, including nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, lack of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), faintness, agitation, hallucinations, fever, increased heart rate, overactive reflexes, severe muscle stiffness, high fever, sweating, confusion, rapid or irregular heartbeat, tremors, easy bruising, unusual bleeding, painful or difficult urination, headaches, concentration issues, memory problems, weakness, unsteadiness, loss of coordination, fainting, seizures, shallow breathing, or cessation of breathing.
This is not an exhaustive list of side effects, and others may occur.
